Please, whatever benevolent power is out there, help me find a way. I have to be strong for the people in my life. I have to help them be strong, too. But it seems like everything in this world is itself and its opposite, and I can never tell whether I'm moving towards something or away. I understand that this is part of the freedom of the world, part of its beauty, this complexity. But I have been lost for a very, very long time, and I'm tired and I don't want to walk anymore. I know that among all these prayers, mine is certainly not the most important or urgent. But if there are troubles this great in the world, and troubles this pervasive, I have to believe there's at least an equal opposite to that, too. And maybe something even greater, working on a level we can't perceive.

I don't need perfect clarity. I'd just like some kind of light at the end of a tunnel, something to guide me right in life. A beacon or a waysign. Please.

I screwed up so badly with her. I should have known. I didn't know I was doing anything wrong until it was too late. Please, please, please give her the strength to forgive me. I'm so tired of this.

Please, god, divine, world, whatever is out there, send love and tolerance into people's hearts. Let us let go of old hatreds and find new friendships and reasons for peace. Let us not demonize our enemies, but understand them and become allies and friends. Let weapons never travel down our roads or through our seas and skies with the goal of hurting others, but only with disarming those who will not put down their weapons; and let them put down their weapons first and always, all of us together, in trust and true peace. Please, god, divine, world, whatever is out there, bring peace into our hearts and let us find the trust we need to move forward.
