Today let us ask God, as David did: “Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.” (Psalm 51:10)
Let us ask the Holy Spirit to search us and reveal anything in our lives that does not please Him. Then let us admit our wrongs to Him and turn away from them. This opens the way for God to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). As we do that, we can expect Him to give us breakthroughs for stubborn habits, addictions, etc.
As we allow God to cleanse our hearts, we become honourable vessels fit for the Master’s use.
Prayer:
Lord, search my heart. Shine Your light into every corner of my heart, thoughts, desires, and even my possessions. Remove anything in my life that does not please You, so I can be useful for You, and give me a heart to obey You.
What specific battle are you in the middle of right now? Can you close your eyes and picture yourself at that table with the Lord? Can you imagine being surrounded by all you are at war with?
Now can you picture him say “Wait right here. I’ve got this…Sit with me. Spend time with me. Find peace with me.“
It is time to sit with the Lord, experience His peace and protection and watch the war rage on knowing that you are in communion with the one who is in control of it all.
He’s our fiercest companion in battle and simultaneously our most tranquil refuge.
I can’t tell you which way he will show up for you today but I promise he WILL show up.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank you for preparing a place that I can come and meet with you in the midst of all the chaos in my life. Help me to remember to accept that daily invitation. I need you now more than ever. Thank you for providing such a stable foundation that can give me confidence when so many things in life cause me to doubt. You are my rock! In your mighty name. Amen.
Submit your prayer request. Thousands of caring people will see it and pray for you.
