My prayers are definitely with you and your son. My son always believed in God and would pray daily, but lost his battle with addiction on 5/21/20. He was doing pretty well, then COVID hit, he got laid off work, had to spend more time around his father, who is alcoholic,abusive, bipolar, lazy and EXTREMELY narcissistic. My son was also schitzophrenic and the voices were getting out of control. He relapsed beginning of April and he unknowingly took fentanyl and died immediately. I understand your worry, your pain, your heartbreak. A mother always wants to fix everything for their children and it tears us apart when we can't. God is what has gotten me thru sall of it.
