My husband and I recently got awarded custody of our little grandson Gabriel (age 2),our 28yr old daughter passed away in jan 2014. This has been a whirlwind of emotions, sadness, despair and grief. we are no spring chickens and love taking care of our little Gabe. Hello all! Well, my husband and I are on our 24th month of fighting for custody of our grandbaby!! our daughter died (28yrs old) of an overdose in jan 2014. They wouldnt give him to us earlier bcuz they said I was in denial and would give my daughter the baby. Anyway it s going on 2yrs and july 28th we will know!!! He belongs with family!!! Im looking for prayers for my daughter and her 7month old son Gabriel. Where to start is overwhelming so I will just ask for prayers for the need of drive for my daughter and the willingness to keep going and NOT GIVE UP! She has to do MANY things to get her son back in her custody and its making her head spin. Recently her car was stolen, she is about to be evicted and her phone is off and she sold it to eat. My husband and I helped pay her rent in the past but she needs to be more motivated in getting these things paid herself. Shes 28yrs old and I see her gong down fast and as her mom its sad, frustrating and breaking my heart. God is the only one who can help this situation so I am asking all of you to PLEASE KEEP OUR DAUGHTER KELLY IN YOUR PRAYERS. I love her and my grandson and want a happy ending. Prayers are needed for our family and the situation with our new grandbaby. We are having an "investigation", on whether my husband and I can take him until our daughter meets certain criteria.I have a "past" and this is why its needed to be looked into. I have a beautiful life now and no longer live that way! My home is great and is very "safe" for the baby and we welcome him with open arms!!! I pray that "THEY" deem us "fit".
