At the tender age of 24 and a single mom of a 2 year old boy, I was told by a doctor if I didn't stop drinking and using drugs I would be dead in 6 months. After using and drinking another 4 months, I came to the realization that I did not want anyone else to raise my son. By the Love and Grace of God, I flushed all my drugs and booze down the toilet and got down on my knees and surrendered to God. Alcoholics Anonymous is a "One Day At A Time" program. Today I celebrate 13514 days (37 years) of continuous sobriety! I am so grateful to God and to the Program of Alcoholics Anonymous!!!
