My elderly mother is very ill and I am unable to take care of her in the manner that she needs. She fails to realize this as she is in the early stages of dementia. Its very frustrating and I have tried everything possible to provide the best care possible that i can provide. Sadly her health issues are far greater in capacity than the level of care I can provide for her. This frustrates both of us. I love her, she's my mom and my only surviving parent. She was in a care facility, but because she will not give anyone her power of attorney and she still has some mental capacity, they allowed her to sign herself out of the facility. For the last 12 hours I have been trying to get her out of bed and clean her up, but she can't and will not move. She just wants to lay there. I don't know what to do. I've been asking for strength and help and guidance. I have cried, she has cried, and she now realizes she should have stayed there. I feel all alone and helpless and I'm sure she does as well. It's very overwhelming. Please pray for us both. In Jesus holy and righteous name. Amen.
