In an attempt to see my son and ensure his safety, I traveled to California with my husband and daughter. We spoke to the apartment manager and arranged for another wellness check. Unfortunately, the authorities were unable to enter his home since he is an adult and they could only intervene if there was a visible threat to himself or others. The blinds were all closed, and it was dark inside. Later that evening, we noticed a television was on in his room, but he did not respond to my calls or open the door.
