each day is a new beginning. Period. I am sober today, because I turned my will an life over to a "Higher Power" ; However I also went to AA, met people on the same path for support. I strongly suggest you do the same! When I began I used the words "higher power" ... Today, I know that power is God reaching out to me, as he is to you! Believe you are worthy of this and that You deserve the goodies in life. (does that mean it will be easy ~ NO. I remember stating to my fellow AAer's this path is so dang hard! When I was getting high I had money, friends and a good job. And now... now .... And those who walked before me would always say "but today you are doing it "Honestly". work the step 1 “We admitted we were powerless over whatever — that our lives had become unmanageable and we turn our will and lives over to the care of God as we understand .” WHO cares to admit complete defeat? Practically no one, of course. GO TO MEETINGS! STAY SOBER and Believe GOD IS ON YOUR SIDE. Was an still (sometimes hard to believe) To believe God Loves us that much to want us sober, to Believe we have value an purpose. God does not want you to fail. Yet You must believe (mustard seed parable), and take the steps in Faith. "For the Grace of God, There go I". You are stronger than you know. You Can do this. Call your sponsor, go to meetings, and Thank God you ARE still struggling (remember to give up is death). God knows your pain, how deep the hurt goes right now he is carrying you across this difficult time (footprints in the sand is a poem) Believe it is so ~ Amen
