yes, our earthly life with feelings and emotions are many times hard to sort out. when we put our self in difficult situations we many times end with heart ache and guilt. the only thing a person then can do is prostrate yourself before the living God and call on him to save you from more anguish and see that you are trying to live in two worlds, which are not compatible. Since you posted on this site you are a christian? you know that is not pleasing to Him and no good can come of it if God is not at the center of your life. I pray that you will find peace and comfort in your life.

Even though I don’t know exactly what your situation is, I hope you don’t beat yourself up about it; but allow yourself to feel convicted by the truth. And what I mean by that is to not allow guilt to overtake you. God allows us to feel guilty, as He gave us our conscience, to let us know that we have done something wrong, or are going in the wrong direction. But I believe that once we realize that, we are not supposed to allow it to keep making us feel terrible about ourselves. As I believe that guilt is meant to cause us to turn back to God and ask forgiveness for what we have done. And once we have asked for forgiveness and turned away from what ever it is that we know is wrong….if we allow God to lead us in a new direction…..then He heals us and we are made free by God’s Love, Forgiveness and Grace.
Though I have never met you, I believe that you know the Truth inside and truly belong to God. You know what is Right and are Stronger than you realize. And if you ask God to give you the strength to do what’s right…..He will give you the strength to do it. Hi Jessica, I've been in your shoes..maybe one too many times and I was posed the question? Did I have the same love for myself that I had for this person. I couldn't answer because I realized a painful truth. I didn't love myself and that's why I allowed myself to be with him even if it's wrong!
No one has a perfect relationship..It doesn't exist. What does exist is kindness,peace, endurance.. together support and attributes of life. What you can do FOR YOU..is be kind and gentle with yourself. We can't change anyone but ourselves.
