I have found that when I have a boss that somehow I did not click with, I would meet with them, it took courage on my part but I would ask to meet and I would tell them that I really want to do a great job and work with him/her and what is it that I can do to make things the way their vision calls for....sometimes just doing that, can help turn the vibe around and they will spin toward another focus away from you. it works. You have to reflect on yourself, listen to their reasoning even if it isn't reasonable to you and get the focus OFF of you. may not be fair but it could save your job.
