God will comfort you and hold in his arms your Son as he has promised ,have all trust and faith in Gods eternal promise that we are eternal and death is an illusion. We are eternal and death will never seperate us permanently. God Bless.
I have also held onto this promise since the death of my soul mate 5 months ago, I understand the darkness too but Gods light will hold you , if you let him.

Heavenly Father, You know the heartache this person is going through. I humbly ask in Jesus's most holy name, that you comfort this person as only You can. I ask that the demon of depression be lifted from their lives, never to return. Please bring people into their lives that will uplift them and let Your holy presence be felt in their lives to give them hope and a wonderful future. Amen and again I say, Amen.
